Seminary Preview for High School Students at Luther

Amnesty Month

This is the month to check your bookshelves in your church and home offices, etc. for any items that might belong to the Northwestern Minnesota Synod Resource Center. If these books, Bible Studies, DVD’s, videos, etc. are not being used, please send them back home.  Some of these items have never seen their new home at the Riverside Center. There will be no criminations for keeping these things beyond their time. Just bring them to the office (or send them in the mail so that others may also enjoy them. Thank you.

Afghanistan: Church World Service Responds to 'Catastrophic' Food Crisis

The most severe drought in a decade is fueling a grave food crisis in Afghanistan that now threatens millions of people with food shortages and possible starvation, reports global humanitarian agency Church World Service.

 

CWS, with long-established offices and staff in Pakistan and Afghanistan, has announced it is providing immediate assistance to the most vulnerable in three challenged provinces and has issued a U.S. fundraising appeal.
