LCPPM is one of 17 state public policy advocacy offices of the ELCA. The
Coalition's mission is to interpret public policy concerns of the ELCA to state policy
makers and to draw congregations into advocacy and public policy process. |

LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES
As one of
Minnesota's largest, faith-based charities, LSS is "the church in
service." It has 2,000 employees statewide who offer compassionate,
professional service through adoption, counseling, housing, debt counseling,
crisis shelters for children, elderly assisted living, group homes for persons
with developmental disabilities and many other services. Their goal is to
help people improve their quality of life. |

The Minnesota Council of Churches is a community of communions who confess Jesus
Christ as Lord and Saviour. As such it seeks to manifest within the State of Minnesota the

Services, Women in Ministry Counseling, Clergy/Lay Retreats and Seminars. |

MINISTRY TO SEAFARERS
Twin Ports Ministry provides an agency through which religious groups which
accept Jesus Christ as Divine Lord and Saviour may cooperate in establishing and
maintaining a Christian ministry for the spiritual, social and personal needs of seafarers
who are in the Ports of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin, otherwise known as the
Twin Ports. |
