News for the Common Good From the Minnesota Council of Churches May 22, 2008 |
What's YOUR Pulse?
What do YOU think about health care?
Has anyone asked
you
what you need and value
when it comes to health care? Or are you just listening to others, particularly
the candidates, as they debate what they
think you need?
The
PULSE SURVEY
is your chance to express your opinion! It asks about your experiences with U.S.
health care, your ability to get the health care you need, and what kind of
reforms would make the most sense to you. In addition, it asks how your faith
values inform your opinions on this issue.

Clearly, health
care is a critical issue in this election cycle, and the voice of the faith
community will be integral in keeping the issue in the forefront of legislative
priorities. Proclaiming our vision will be key to shaping a health care future
that works for all of us. One step in promoting that vision is participating in
a survey called the PULSE, which will document our opinions on this issue.
This survey was
developed in a partnership between
Faithful Reform in Health Care
and
CodeBlueNow.
Originally developed by CodeBlueNow, the survey was adapted by Faithful Reform
in Health Care to identify what people of faith are thinking about our health
care future. Once completed, the survey results will be used guide
faith-inspired advocates as they chart a path in their support for reform and
work to hold our elected leaders accountable on this issue.
Deadline: Monday, May 26!
And then... circulate the PULSE widely within your communities of faith.
Thousands of responses are needed to demonstrate our concern for
our health care future!
Faithful Reform in Health Care is working with a national network of people of faith to elevate moral and prophetic voices in support of a health care future that works well for all of us.
CodeBlueNow! is working to create strong public will for change by engaging the public in designing, shaping and promoting a template for a new health care system.
