Coming this October at First Lutheran Church, Alexandria, there will be a great opportunity to learn about ways to reach out to our Latine neighbors in the Northwestern Minnesota Synod. Pastor Violeta Siguenza, director of Centro Teológico Luterano Multicultural (CTLM), of Wartburg Seminary will lead a workshop with this goal. There are many people with a Latine background in our midst, even though they often are not visible in the community. This worship is for any individual or congregation that has an interest in learning more and finding ways to be the best neighbors to the Latine community. You do not need Spanish language skills to attend, but you might go away with a Spanish word or two. This is a great opportunity as a synod to explore this aspect of ministry together.
